FEE POLICY FOR TENANTS

The following is a complete list of Fees and Penalties for some cases after you create your booking:

1. Cancellation Fee

  • Cancellation > 24 hours before the start of the booking: No cancellation fee
  • Cancellation < 24 hours before the start of the booking: 80% of the booking fee, with the remaining booking fee refunded after the cancellation fee is deducted.
  • Cancellation after the start of the booking: No refund for the rental fee.

 

2. Schedule Adjustment Fee

  • Adjustments made > 12 hours before the start of the trip → No schedule adjustment fee
  • Adjustments made < 12 hours before the start of the trip → Not allowed and No refund

 

3. Time Extension

  • The renter can extend the booking time at any time before the end of the trip → No additional charge and the booking time is extended at the regular booking rate.
  • After the booking time has ended, a new booking must be made.
  • For Home Delivery Bookings: If the renter extends the booking time within 2 hours before the end time, the Home Delivery service will be canceled and no refund will be given.

 

4. Early Return

  • Early return will be charged twice (2) the hourly rental fee as notified at the time of booking. The fee will be calculated on a half-hour basis.

 

5. Change in Fare

  • The fare (total KM selected) cannot be changed after creating a booking. The fee will be calculated on a half-hour basis.

 

7. Free KM

The number of free KM allocated to the renter is proportional to the number of hours booked and the flexible package selected.

The current free KM packages are 5km/hour, 10km/hour, and 20km/hour. The free KM are calculated based on the pick-up time according to the nearest schedule to the latest schedule time or the actual pick-up time, whichever is later.

The renter is responsible for paying for any excess KM at the fixed rate per KM as notified at the time of booking confirmation.

 

8. Minimum Booking Time

The minimum booking time is charged at 2 hours

 

9. Promotional Program

The promotional program only applies to trips with a duration of 8 hours or more at the time of booking.

The promotional program only applies to the booking fee (excluding the refundable security deposit, if any) that has been paid in advance to book the car.

The promotional program will not be applied on days when the Promotional Program policy is not in effect.

A list of upcoming/peak season days when the Promotional Program policy is not in effect is listed here (Please make sure to select your city to see the corresponding days when the Promotional Program/peak season policy is not in effect). SENCAR reserves the right to cancel the booking if it detects any unreasonable use of Promotional Program vouchers.

 

10. Fuel Policy

At the end of the trip, the renter will return the car with the same fuel level as when it was picked up. If the car is returned in a condition with less fuel than when it was picked up, the fuel charge is 23,000 VND/liter plus a support fee of 100,000 VND paid to the car owner. The following applies:

  • Fuel charge = fuel price at that time x fuel difference (in liters) + 100,000 VND

 

11. Vehicle Incident

The cause of the incident will be determined based on the accident investigation report from the repair shop. The consequences will be determined as follows:

  • In the case of the renter's fault: The renter will be responsible for the entire repair cost.
  • In the case of no fault of the renter: The renter is not responsible for the repair and will be refunded for any unused hours of the booking.

SENCAR will not be responsible for any costs that the renter incurs as a result of the vehicle incident.

 

12. Returning the Car to the Wrong Location

The renter will be liable for a fixed fee (in addition to the hourly rental fee) of 1,000,000 VND + the entire late return fee until the car is returned to the correct location. The late return fee will be charged as follows:

  • Up to 24 hours if the car is returned to the wrong location but in the same city.
  • Up to 72 hours if the car is returned to the wrong location, in a different city.

 

13. Parking Violation

Pay the full fine + 100,000 VND every 30 days of late payment.

 

14. Failure to Pick Up the Car

Car bookings will be canceled if the Renter does not pick up the car within 4 hours after the start time of the booking. No refund will be applied.

 

15. Traffic Violations

Overspeeding >= 125 km/h:

  • VND 1,000,000 (or higher than any government fine that may have been applied).
  • Ban from using SENCAR if speeding occurs in two bookings.

Overspeeding >= 150 km/h:

  • VND 2,000,000 (or higher than any government fine that may have been applied).
  • Ban from using SENCAR immediately on first violation

 

16. Smoking

A fixed fee of VND 1,000,000 plus applicable damage costs related to the car's interior.

 

17. Incorrect Fuel Refueling

The Renter will be responsible for all repair/damage costs to the car + other costs arising from the damage.

 

18. Key Not Returned After Booking Ends

A fixed fee of VND 3,000,000 plus the cost of making a new key, if not returned within 3 days.

 

19. Loss of Vehicle Documents

  • Insurance Policy: VND 300,000
  • Vehicle Registration Certificate/Driver's License: VND 2,000,000

 

20. Additional Driver

A fixed fee of VND 400,000 will be applied if the Additional Driver has not been added to the booking before the start time of the booking.

 

21. Damage to the Vehicle

Accidental: Any accidental damage will be subject to the standard insurance deductible (as specified in section “22. Accidents and Other Incidents”) with a maximum liability of VND 1,500,000.

Intentional or Material: In the event that the Renter causes any intentional or material damage to the vehicle, such as:

  • The Renter is caught drinking alcohol during the booking process;
  • The garage and/or insurance company believes that the damage is due to the Renter and/or the user;
  • SENCAR discovers that the Renter was not the driver at the time of the accident, the Renter will be responsible for all repair costs for the damage caused to the vehicle and any other damage caused to SENCAR, including but not limited to the loss of projected revenue arising from the damage to the vehicle.

 

22. Accidents or Other Incidents

If the Renter is involved in an accidental/non-intentional incident (including but not limited to a collision or misuse of the vehicle), the Renter will be responsible for

  • A standard insurance deductible of up to VND 1,500,000; and
  • Payment of repair costs of up to VND 1,500,000.
  • The Renter will be responsible for all towing and impound fees related to any collision or incident caused by the Renter. SENCAR will be responsible for all towing and impound fees due to vehicle breakdown not caused by the Renter.

 

23. Vehicle Cleaning

The Renter must ensure that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was at the time of pick-up (inside and outside). If the Renter returns the vehicle in a dirty condition, the Renter will be required to pay a cleaning fee of up to VND 400,000.

For interior cleaning, the details are as follows:

  • Removable parts that are dirty (floor mats, etc.) - VND 200,000; and
  • Interior cleaning/dry cleaning (seat covers, door panels, pet hair) - VND 400,000.

 

24. Toll Fees

Customers are responsible for paying all toll fees at the time of use.

 

25. Home/Airport Pick-up and Drop-off Service

Home or airport delivery will be charged a minimum additional fee of VND 100,000 (for two directions) plus a distance fee depending on the time of day.

The car will be delivered to the specific location selected during the booking process, 0-5 minutes before the start time of the booking, and the car will be picked up within 30 minutes of the end of the booking time. The Renter may end the booking regardless of whether the car is picked up or not and will not be charged if the car is picked up late.

 

NOTE:

The car delivery will be carried out according to the original booking order, the extension and adjustment of the car delivery time will depend on the availability of the car.

If the Renter violates the law or any applicable policy of SENCAR, such as speeding or driving under the influence of alcohol, the Renter will be responsible for all damages, legal liability and fines and may face legal proceedings.

KYC - The Renter's profile on this Platform must be verified before starting the booking process. (Driver's License & ID Card/CCCD/Passport with a direct selfie).

SENCAR will not be responsible for any property left in the car after the end of the booking transaction.
